24th Pure Arabian Youth Spring Show in Białka

The Białka show is a warm-up and foretaste of what we may expect to see at the National Cup in Janów Podlaski. It enjoys a great deal of popularity and presents the best achievements of Polish Arabian horse breeding. The horses are professionally evaluated by ECAHO judges.

Both on Saturday as well as on Sunday the high temperature added a further element to the heat of the competition. The scenario of the first day included yearling fillies and colts of all classes. The leading position in Class A, Yearling Colts, belonged to the bay colt Morion (Kahil Al Shaqab – Mesalina/Ekstern) bred and owned by SK Michałów. Morion scored 44.33 points, including six „10s”. The highest score in Class 1B Yearling Colts, 43, went to Pitawal from Janów (Kahil Al Shaqab – Pepita/Ekstern). The winner of Class 2B was the grey colt Gentelman (Madras Kossack (NL) - Greka / Major) bred and owned by Ms Agnieszka Wójtowicz. The runner up was another grey, Złoty Medal (QR Marc – Złota Orda/Pesal), bred and owned by SK Michałów. In Class 2B the winner was Eurogrant OZ (Ajman Moniscione (IT) - Ekspiacja / Emigrant) bred by Yitzhak Dror & Ofer Meiri / owned by O. Meiri, Y. Dror, SO Białka.

In Class 3, Three-year-old Colts, the first place went to the dark bay Cefir (Eryks-Celina / Metropolis NA) bred by SO Białka. The leader in Class 4, Yearling Fillies, on this day was Galerida from Michałów (Shanghai E.A. (ES) - Galilea / Laheeb) with the runner up Ceranova (Kahil Al Shaqab (US) - Cerinola / Ecaho) from Janów Podlaski. The winner of Class 4B was the filly Burza (Kahil Al Shaqab (US) - Bursa / Aslan) bred and owned by SK Janów Podlaski.  All the highest laurels in Class 4C of Yearling Fillies went to contestants from Janów, the bay Prometida (Kahil Al Shaqab (US) - Panonia / Eukaliptus), dark bay Al Jazeera (Kahil Al Shaqab (US) - Alhasa / Ganges) and grey Alpina (Abyad AA (IL) - Alabama / Gazal Al Shaqab), who won the first three prizes respectively.

The following day, 8 June, was the competition scene for two and three-year-old fillies and Championships.
The winner in Class 5A, Two-year-old Fillies, was Anawera (Piaff - Altamira / Ekstern), a grey filly from Janów Podlaski. The runner up was another Janów contestant, Patria (Eden C (US) - Palmeta / Ecaho). For a change, the second runner up was Nadira Regalis (WH Justice (US) - Nashira By Chawy NA (IT) / Lucky Dream ) bred by  Re Pietro  and owned by Tomasz Tarczyński. Immediately behind her, in fourth and fifth place, were another two Janów fillies: Etira (Eden C (US) - Etnologia / Gazal Al Shaqab), Paterna (Eden C (US) - Pinga / Gazal Al Shaqab) and Wiga (Om El Bellissimo (US) - Wołogda / Ekstern) respectively.

Class 5B was won by the dark bay Piacolla (Enzo (US) - Polonica / Ekstern) from Michałów, the second place going to Atanda (Eden C (US) - Atma / Ekstern) bred and owned by SK Janów Podlaski, and the third to the grey Faworyta (Pegasus - Fermata / Poganin) bred and owned by SK Michałów. The last class of the day was Class 6 of Three-year-old Fillies, the undisputed winners being the Arabian beauties from SO Białka. These were Egiria (Esparto - Egira / Emigrant) which ranked first, Permaria (Esparto - Perolia / Gazal Al Shaqab) which ranked second, and the third of the podium winners was the dark bay Cirlita (Eryks - Cirka / Borek).

The last competition of the event was the Championship. The title of Champion of Yearling Colts was won by the Michałów bred Morion (Kahil Al Shaqab – Mesalina/Ekstern). The Vice-Champion was Pitawal (Kahil Al Shaqab – Pepita/Ekstern) bred in Janów Podlaski. The third place went to the colt Lord El Shawan (FA El Shawan – Lady Serenada/Ekstern) bred by Mr and Mrs Małgorzata and Józef Pietrzak. The last of the Top 4 was the grey Peon (Kahil Al Shaqab – Penta/Ecaho) from Janów.

The Young Stallions Championship winner was Eurogrant OZ (Ajman Moniscione – Ekspiacja/Emigrant) bred in Israel by Yitzhak Dror and Ofer Meiri, leased by the Białka Stallion Depot. The Vice Champion was Złoty Medal (QR Marc – Złota Orda/Pesal) of SK Michałów, thus proving his continuing strong position. It is worth remembering that in 2013 he won the title of Champion of Yearling Colts. The winner of the third place was the grey stallion Gentelman (Madras Kossack – Greka/Major) owned by Agnieszka Wójtowicz. Other Top 5 winners included Cefir (Eryks – Celina/Metropolis NA) from SO Białka and the grey Fair (AB Jamil La Piana – Fila/Oset) owned by PPH Parys.

The undisputed winners of the Yearling Fillies Championship were daughters of the stallion Kahil Al Shaqab, the sire of as many as four of the Top 5 fillies. The title of Champion went to the grey Galerida (Shanghai E.A. – Galilea/Laheeb) from SK Michałów. The proud Vice Champion was Prometida (Kahil Al Shaqab – Panonia/Eukaliptus) from Janów. The second Vice Champion was Ceranova (Kahil Al Shaqab – Cerinola/Ecaho) from SK Janów Podlaski. The remaining two of the five were her stable friends, Al Jazeera (Kahil Al Shaqab – Alhasa/Ganges) and Burza (Kahil Al Shaqab – Bursa/Aslan).

The Champion of Young Mares was successfully contested by Anawera (Piaff – Altamira/Ekstern) from the Janów Podlaski Stud. The title of Vice Champion was awarded to the already acclaimed Piacolla (Enzo – Polonica/Ekstern) from Michałów, while the second Vice Champion was the grey Egiria (Esparto – Egira/Emigrant) from SO Białka. The two last who joined the Top 5 winning group were two fillies from SK Janów Podlaski, Patria (Eden C – Palmeta/Ecaho) and Atanda (Eden C – Atma/Ekstern).

The Title of Best in Show was awarded to the bay colt Morion from the Michałów Stud. We heartily congratulate Mr Jerzy Białobok, the Director of SK Michałów.

Polish bred Arabians never fail prove their top class. The titles, medals and awards they win, and most of all the beauty of the horses themselves, are a source of satisfaction and pride for the breeders.
