THE OSCARS HAVE BEEN AWARDED, UNANIMOUS VICTORY OF THE WIEŻA MOCY! - SCOTTSDALE 2015
Arabian horse lovers also had their great gala, at the one of the most important and oldest horse show in Scottsdale, Arizona in the United States. The show lasted 10 days (10 – 22 February) and was organized by the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona. It was the 60th time that Scottsdale hosted Arabian stars. The number proved very fortunate for SK Michałów.
The greatest hopes and emotions were experienced during the Thursday (19.02) competition of five year old mares. In this class SK Michałów was represented by Wieża Mocy (QR Marc (US) - Wieża Marzeń (PL)/ Ekstern (PL)), which presented itself with top class considering the venue and the situation. In the hands of David Boggs Wieża Mocy was delightful. Thus the result could not be a surprise. The mare unanimously won the class and repeated its success during the final (22.02), where Wieża Mocy won the title of Champion! During the lap of honour she was led by Mr Mariusz Liśkiewicz. The Vice Champion was Honey's Delight RB presented by Greg Gallun.
Polish accents were visible throughout the show. The first day (12.02) belonged to the offspring of Pogrom. The colt Royal Perseus (Pogrom (PL) - Maggie Mae PGA (US)/ Magnum Psyche (US)) won in the yearling colt class, while Mc Jaspoure (Pogrom (PL)- Ames Jasmine (US)/ DS Major Afire (US)) triumphed among two year old colts.
Friday the 13th was a happy day for the gelding OKW Radar OKW Entrigue (US) - OKW Elowka (US)/ Elaborat (PL)), who won the level III dressage competition under Patience Prine-Carr, thus being entitled to start in the highest level IV.
In the Arabian Hunter Pleasure class for young riders the bay gelding Brando JCA (Brandon Bey JCA (US) - Fallada (PL)/ Monogramm (US)) and his rider came second. Brando JCA also became the Arabian Hunter Pleasure Champion for young riders. The Top Ten title, both in the Arabian Hunter Pleasure Walk/Trot championships for juniors under 14 as well as in the Arabian Hunter Pleasure Walk/Trot children’s championship was won by TA Ocala (Kordelas (PL) - Oronka (PL)/ Alegro (PL))
In the Scottsdale Arabian Classic 2 Year Old Fillies class which took place on Wednesday (18.02) the Top Ten title went to the daughter of Pogrom from Janów, the bay filly Giselle Rae (Pogrom (PL) - Melania IA (US)/ Enzo (US))
On the following day the title of Vice Champion in the Arabian Reining Horse Bitted class was awarded to the stallion Ohya (Piaff (PL) - Oriwia (PL)/ Espadero (PL)). On Friday (20.02) the title of Champion in the Arabian Reining Futurity Horse category was given to the grey mare klaczy TA Olyvia (Kordelas (PL) - Halali Olympia (US)/ Enferno (US)). Another descendant of Kordelas, the stallion TA Mozart (Kordelas (PL) - Marieta (PL)/ Arbil (PL)) won the the title of Champion in the Arabian Reining Horse for amateur owners over 45.
American climate, thousands of visitors and thousands of wonderful horses really made your head spin. The Scottsdale show is one of the largest and most famous Arabian horse shows in the world. The news from across the ocean that Polish horses were so successful are indeed a reason for joy. Our warm congratulations to SK Michałów!
